Salvation and the Risen King

March 22, 2026

Belonging to Jesus and Life in His Kingdom

The World Has a King

God made the world. He did not leave it without a ruler.

Jesus Christ is the King.

The message of the gospel is not only that Jesus saves. It is that Jesus is Lord. He has all authority. He reigns now.

The Problem: We Live in the Wrong Kingdom

Something is wrong with the world. Something is wrong with us.

We do not live under God’s rule. We live for ourselves.

This is sin.

Sin is not only what we do. It is how we live. We live as our own king.

Because of this, we stand guilty before God. We are separated from His life.

The King Came Near

God did not leave us in this condition.

Jesus came into the world. He lived among us.

He healed the sick. He forgave sinners. He taught with authority.

He announced the Kingdom of God.

In Him, we see what it means to live under God’s rule.

The Cross: What the King Did

Jesus was crucified.

This was not an accident.

He died for our sins.

He took our guilt. He bore our judgment.

On the cross, sin was dealt with. Its penalty was paid.

The King gave His life for His people.

The Resurrection: Jesus Is Lord

Jesus did not remain in the grave.

God raised Him from the dead.

This changes everything.

Jesus is alive. He is exalted. He reigns as Lord.

Salvation is not about a dead teacher. It is about a living King.

Salvation: Entering the King’s Kingdom

Salvation is more than forgiveness.

It is a change of belonging.

You are brought out of darkness. You are brought into the Kingdom of God’s Son.

You are no longer your own. You now belong to the King.

Faith: Trusting Allegiance to the King

How do you enter this Kingdom?

Through faith.

Faith is not just knowing facts. It is not just agreeing in your mind.

Faith is trusting Jesus.

It is giving yourself to Him. It is receiving Him as your King.

It is turning from ruling your own life and placing yourself under His rule.

Union with the King

When you believe, something real happens.

You are joined to Jesus. You are united with Him.

His death becomes yours. Your sin is counted as dealt with.

His life becomes yours. You share in His new life.

You are now in Christ.

Assurance: Why You Can Be Secure

Your salvation does not rest on your performance.

It does not rest on how strong you feel.

It rests on this: you are in Christ.

He is alive. He does not fail.

As long as you belong to Him, your salvation is secure.

Life in the Kingdom

Now you live under the King.

You follow Him. You obey Him. You grow.

Not to earn salvation, but because you belong to Him.

This is a new way of life. It is life in the Kingdom.

A Call to Respond

Do not stay where you are.

Turn from ruling your own life.

Trust Jesus as your King.

Give yourself to Him.

Enter His Kingdom.
